College of Business Hosts the First “National Business Big Data” Innovation Competition: Cross-School, Cross-Field Creative Challenge

As industries worldwide undergo data-driven transformation, establishing a connection with future talent through campus collaborations has become a common challenge faced by all sectors. Hosted by the Ministry of Education, Chung Yuan Christian University’s College of Business, and the Center for Global Taiwanese Business Studies, in partnership with BIG DATA Co., Ltd., the first “National Business Big Data” Innovation Competition is in full swing. All university students across Taiwan are invited to participate, build their personal digital innovation capabilities, and enhance their future career competitiveness!

On the 28th, Chung Yuan Christian University held an information session for the competition at the Jinrong Business Lecture Hall. Ivy Ma, Customer Success Manager at BIG DATA Co., Ltd., presented an overview of the KEYPO Big Data Key Engine sentiment analysis system and provided examples of insights analysis reports. The session was streamed live via MS Teams and Google Meet, with active participation from both online and in-person students.

The College of Business stated that, with the emergence of AI, big data, and other innovative technologies, these have become essential cores driving digital transformation and the development of innovative services across various industries. As part of the Humanity-Social Sciences and Industrial Innovation Linkage Program, Chung Yuan Christian University is executing the sub-project “Promoting Business Intelligence Transformation with Smart Technology,” which has partnered with the industry to host this competition. The goal is to encourage students to approach the competition with a business mindset, leveraging the precise sentiment search and analysis, as well as charting features of the KEYPO Big Data Key Engine, to uncover insights and reports that meet industry demands while being creative.

Students can choose business topics such as Business Administration, Finance, Economics, International Business, Information Management, or Sustainability, and analyze online sentiment and data. BIG DATA Co., Ltd. also provides two insight reports for reference: “NFT Cryptographic Art Strategy – Unveiling Marketing Application Value” and “Post-Pandemic Beauty Industry Opportunities – Deep Consumer Insights.” Zhi-Wei Jiang, Chief Operating Officer of BIG DATA Co., Ltd., stated that the competition aims to teach participants how to use Martech marketing technology tools to create creative and trend-driven insight reports, strengthening the connection between academia and practice, thus enhancing personal competitiveness.

Cheng-Wen Lee, Dean of the College of Business, attended the information session and expressed, “We hope that, under globalization, AI, and big data innovation solutions, we can offer effective learning experiences for students, combining creativity with industry practice. By leveraging teamwork, we aim to build a model of mutual support and success.”
