International Students’ Sharing of Diverse festivals in Various Countries

As the Christmas coming, the College of Business has inviting our international students to share and introduce the festive traditions of their countries.


Shunkai Yo, a Japanese student who is in IMBA program, shared the origin and customs of Japan’s “New Year” festivities. The most significant event during the Japanese New Year, which falls on January 1st, is called “Hatsumode”.

Channarong Heng-aroonprasarn, a Thai student who is in IMBA program, shared the origin and customs of Thailand’s “Loy Krathong” festival. Celebrated on the 15th day of the twelfth month in the Buddhist calendar.

Ignatius Reyner Giovanni, an Indonesian student who is in the PD. D Program, shared the origin and customs of Bali’s “Galungan” festival. In the end, he also prepare carol for us.
