An International Scholar Visits COB, CYCU

The College of Business (COB), Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) was recently visited by Dr. Otto H. Chang, a Taiwanese international scholar from the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) to provide a lecture entitled “A Critique on the Foundation of Business Research”. Dr. Chang who is also the Program Chair of the 26th International Conference on Management in the Pacific Rim (ICMPR), which will be hosted by the COB, CYCU this coming June 16 – 18, 2016; discussed with the COB Dean, Dr. Alex Liu, Associate Dean Dr. Yi-Chung Hu, and local organizing committees the details and processes of the upcoming international conference. Dr. Chang also met with CYCU President, Dr. Samuel K. Chang to discuss future academic collaborations between CYCU and IPFW. Chang doing his lecture entitled “A Critique on the Foundation of Business Research” attended by COB faculty members, Undergraduate, Master and PhD students. The project of inviting a visiting international scholar benefited the COB: •by providing an opportunity for students and faculty members to attend a special lecture; •by having a chance to facilitate discussion for the upcoming international conference in the COB; and •by offering avenues in creating potential academic collaboration with other international universities.
