- Introduction
The Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) International Business Honor Society was established in 1913 to recognize and encourage academic excellence among business students and scholars.
Today, there are over 600 collegiate chapters in more than 190 countries, with a global network of over 980,000 distinguished members.
Only business schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) are eligible to establish a BGS chapter.
The College of Business at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) earned its AACSB accreditation and subsequently established the BGS CYCU Chapter in 2016.
Being inducted into BGS is not only a lifetime membership, but also a symbol of high academic and professional achievement.
Members enjoy a variety of benefits and opportunities, including participation in events hosted by the BGS Global Headquarters, networking with members worldwide, gaining cross-cultural experiences, and broadening international perspectives—all of which contribute greatly to future career development. - Eligibility for Membership
(1) Students:
Undergraduate juniors or seniors ranked in the top 10% of their department or class
Master’s students ranked in the top 20% of their department or class
Doctoral candidates
(2) Faculty Members:
Hold a Ph.D. degree from an AACSB-accredited institution
Serve as a full-time faculty member at CYCU
