Mr. Lee was a graduate from Department of Psychology of Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) in 1972. During his school years, he well understood the idea of “Value of opportunities“ and for that reason he fully utilized the resources on campus and took many Chemistry courses such as Organic Chemistry ,Biochemistry ,Polymer Chemistry…etc and participated in many chemistry labs aside from his major. After his graduation, he continued to pursue further studies in Canada and received a MBA degree from Dalhousie University in 1975. Later, during his service at KPMG, he managed to obtain the CPA license and then in 1995, he established the L&L Energy, Inc. in Seattle, Washington, which was the only Asian-owned listed company in that State. His outstanding achievement of successfully running the L&L Energy, Inc. has won him the award of Outstanding Asian American from the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the President’s Volunteer Service Award from President Barack Obama of the United States of America. Mr. Dickson V. Lee is more than just an outstanding Asian America business person who has received recognitions and honors from the U.S. government; he also demonstrates his entrepreneurial spirit of giving back to the society. In addition, Mr. Lee made many generous contributions to his alma mater, such as the construction of the Joint Administration and Services Building, the Chun Yuan Faculty and Staff Choir Goodwill Mission, and the annual overseas internship program for CYCU student with Business majors.
