The College of Business joined AACSB as a member in 2009, earned accreditation in 2015 and 2021, and once again passed the rigorous review in 2025. Dean Cheng-Wen Lee stated that maintaining AACSB accreditation not only affirms Chung Yuan’s dedication to teaching, research, and governance, but also strengthens international collaboration and enhances global reputation, attracting more outstanding international students as the College continues its pursuit of becoming a world-class business school.

The most recent peer review took place from May 24 to 28, with results released shortly thereafter. AACSB appointed a team of three internationally renowned deans as reviewers: Brian S. Klaas (Chair) from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, Kaushal Chari from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, and Ahmad Tootoonchi from the University of Tennessee at Martin. The review team highly commended Chung Yuan for its educational philosophy, faculty development, research achievements, and students’ overall competitiveness. They also praised the professionalism and potential demonstrated by students, and were deeply impressed by the well-rounded educational environment and resource allocation.

The AACSB team conducted in-depth visits to the programs of the College of Business, gaining first-hand insights into the University’s academic achievements.

Guided by its core themes of “Innovation, Humanity, and Glocalization,” the College actively promotes innovative teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, and industry–academia partnerships. It also offers international programs, EMI courses, and cross-cultural activities, helping students cultivate interdisciplinary skills and global perspectives. Students have frequently excelled in international academic competitions, reflecting their innovative thinking, professional competence, and global competitiveness.

The committee members highly praised CYCU for its high-quality educational environment and well-structured resource allocation.

In addition to AACSB recognition, the College’s Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter has distinguished itself among 641 university chapters worldwide, earning the “Highest Honors Chapter” designation for seven consecutive years. In both 2024 and 2025, it also received the Silver Outstanding Chapter Award, and to date has welcomed 474 members. These honors highlight the College’s achievements in internationalization, student professionalism, and academic impact.

The BGS CYCU Chapter has won the highest honor for seven consecutive years, demonstrating international recognition and outstanding excellence.

CYCU President Ying-Ming Lee remarked that the dual recognition of AACSB reaccreditation and BGS international honors not only demonstrates the College of Business’s continuous efforts in teaching, research, and talent cultivation, but also reflects Chung Yuan’s long-term vision of advancing holistic education, deepening global connections, and enhancing educational quality. Moving forward, the University will continue to expand its global network and nurture talents equipped with professional knowledge, international perspectives, and ethical values.
