The World’s Top 2% Scientists list is compiled based on data from Scopus, the world’s largest abstract and citation database, selecting the top 2% of researchers from more than nine million scientists worldwide. Evaluation criteria include total citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted Hm-index, as well as citation indicators for single, first, or last-authored papers—six metrics in total. These comprehensive measures reflect a scholar’s research impact and international standing, lending strong credibility and recognition to the list.
In this year’s CYCU rankings, 27 scholars were recognized in the Career-Long Scientific Impact (1960–2024) Rankings, while 12 were listed in the 2024 Annual Scientific Impact Rankings. Their research spans diverse fields such as artificial intelligence, electronic engineering, operations research, energy, chemical engineering, materials science, nanoscience, and business management. This breadth demonstrates CYCU’s robust interdisciplinary research capacity and its rising international profile, while also underscoring the College of Business’s strengths and influence in management studies and applied business research.
