The 9th Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Chung Yuan Chapter Induction Ceremony

On April 23, 2025, the College of Business at Chung Yuan Christian University held its 9th Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Chung Yuan Chapter Induction Ceremony. Led by Dean Cheng-Wen Lee, all inductees recited the BGS pledge, and honorary membership certificates were presented.

BGS is an international honor society recognized by the AACSB, established to recognize academic excellence among business students and distinguished achievements in the business field. Only AACSB-accredited institutions—representing the top 5% of business schools worldwide—are eligible to establish BGS chapters. Our college established the Chung Yuan Chapter in 2016 and has since been recognized as a Highest Honors Chapter for six consecutive years. To date, the chapter has inducted 474 members. This year, 39 new members joined, including 37 students and 2 faculty members.

Eligibility for BGS membership at our college includes: undergraduate students in their third or fourth year ranking in the top 10% of their class or department; master’s students in the top 20%; doctoral candidates; and full-time faculty who either earned a doctorate from an AACSB-accredited institution or currently hold an academic appointment at the College.

Thanks to the strong support and outstanding achievements of our faculty and students, the 9th induction ceremony was a resounding success. Chung Yuan Christian University has once again demonstrated its global reputation in business education. For the second consecutive year, our chapter was honored with the BGS Global Outstanding Chapter “Silver Award” for 2024 and 2025—making us the only university in Taiwan to receive this distinction. Among over 641 AACSB-accredited schools in 38 countries, our chapter has stood out for excellence, with international recognition for its academic impact.

With the addition of new members, we look forward to continued achievements and further elevating the prestige of Chung Yuan Christian University.
