Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) has been recognized as the winner of Beta Gamma Sigma’s 2024 Silver Outstanding Chapter Award. The CYCU BGS Chung Yuan chapter was selected as the winner of this award out of more than 630 global chapters, found in AACSB-accredited schools in 38 countries.
Annually, Beta Gamma Sigma recognizes its most outstanding chapters at the Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Best Practice levels. These awards are merit recognitions presented to chapters who participate in a variety of chapter and Society activities and exemplify outstanding commitment to the mission of Beta Gamma Sigma.
BGS Chung Yuan Chapter in the College of Business is established in 2016, and has been recognized as the Highest Honor Chapter for 6 years. Our members are the top 10% of undergraduate students, top 20% of graduate students and all doctoral candidates that have successfully defended their dissertation at an AACSB accredited business school. AACSB accredits only the top schools worldwide assuring that BGS members belong to an organization synonymous with the highest standards of academic excellence.
The CYCU representative, Prof. Chih-Hao Lin, who is the Director of Quality Development and Accreditation Office, received the award from the BGS Global HQ Executive Director, Christina Allrich, at AACSB’s International Conference and Annual Meeting (ICAM) on 16th April,2024 in Atlanta, USA. In addition to being recognized by the Society at a variety of events throughout the year, the 2024 Silver Chapter Award provides a $1000 USD Beta Gamma Sigma scholarship for the chapter to award to an outstanding student.
